Why protect with bamboo?
As we are focused on sustainable development, we wanted to develop a new green technology that everyone knows. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world. It has enormous tensile strength, prevents penetration of sharp objects and is antibacterial.

The Bamboo elastic gaiters are made from a strong TPU shell with multiple ventilation holes in the tendon area and a large ventilation triangle.
The tendon area is reinforced with bamboo to prevent penetration. Where the horse flexes, we added a piece of soft natural rubber to prevent friction.
The inner part of the gaiters is reinforced with an additional layer of TPU to resist abrasion.

We created our own in-house testing machine that creates 80N of force when falling on a horizontal horse leg with a razor sharp axe. Our Bamboo shield horse gaiters withstand this extreme testing method which cannot be compared to any real impact during riding. The gaiters are also Rico test approved and RCT certified.

Fabrics and materials
Our Bamboo Shield front protectors are made with our highly breathable and well-known 3D Spacer lining, used in our closed gaiters and 3D Spacer horse rugs. They feature a robust TPU outer shell, which is both light and durable, and an additional bamboo insert in the tendon area for optimal protection against impacts and penetration of sharp objects, and are also antibacterial.

Shape and size
Thanks to their anatomical shape, the gaiters adapt perfectly to the horse's leg to offer maximum comfort and protection. This gives the horse maximum freedom of movement to be able to jump better. The soft and flexible rubber insert under the joint also offers the horse greater comfort of movement.
The gaiters are available in sizes S, M and L (except pink and emerald: only S and M)

Maintenance tips
The gaiters are machine washable at 30°C (no tumble drying). We always advise you to use a wash bag to avoid scratches caused by washing. You can easily use our gaiter cleaner, specially designed for TPU protectors, to make your gaiters look like new even after using them.
