Protects and nourishes the horn in depth

The hoof is the protective covering of the internal structures of the horse's foot. Its wall is made of rigid horn which nevertheless retains a certain flexibility and mobility essential for absorbing shocks.

Pedigard black ointment helps to strengthen the horn while preserving its elasticity. Laurel berry oil, rich in lauric acid, deeply softens the horn. Beeswax, nourishing because it is rich in vitamin A, also provides a waterproofing action: it retains water in the foot, helping to combat drying out and acts as a barrier against external aggressions. This barrier is reinforced by vegetable charcoal whose porosity gives it a capacity to adsorb external agents. Flexible and protected, the foot regains all its biomechanical properties.

Manual

Apply PEDIGARD Black Ointment to the outer wall of the foot during your daily care. Also apply to the sole and fork if they are perfectly dry and healthy. Close tightly after use.

Separating the maintenance of the top (external wall) and bottom (sole and frog) of the foot is entirely possible and even strongly recommended in certain cases. In the event of even slight damage, or excessive humidity of the sole and frog, prefer the application of pediflex fluid oil in order to strengthen the horn while allowing the humidity to escape. In case of excessively damaged frogs, apply pedicade to the frogs and glômes.
